Netiquette Rules

Netiquette rules: 

• Do not swear on the internet.
• Apologize if you are in the wrong.
• Don't be mean to other users because they are people too.
• Only say things on the internet you would be able to say if they were standing in front of you.
• Don't send mean emails or comments because it hurts peoples feelings.
• Don't make flame wars (Mostly done deliberately), it gets people angry and upset.
• Be aware of people who go around online trying to make people feel angry.
• If you have a different name online e.g. bounchingboy21 your real identity will get found some day. So don't do mean things online.
• Treat others the way you would like to be treated. If you do not want people to be mean to you think about what you are doing.
• When talking to your elders do not send messages that use slang e.g. will c u aftr 
• school. wll be L8 2 school in the aftrnoon. Bye <3 :-). Some people will not understand.
• Do not use all capitals when you are messaging people online. like this: HELLO MATE I HAVE MISSED YOU SO MUCH. HEY CAN YOU COME AND FIX MY COMPUTER IT IS BROKEN. 
• Before posting anything check your grammar spelling. 
• When you post something there will always be a trace of it somewhere. So when it is posted it is posted.
• If you are somewhere e.g. the beach, and you take a picture of your team celebrating a game of volleyball, and you see someones face who was not meant to be in the photo. You need to cut out their face or ask perdition if it is okay to send it it to Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat or even twitter. 

  We are learning how to interact online in a kind, positive and helpful way. 

How does Netiquette affect our relationships?
If we are not being responsible for what we do online, it can hurt peoples feelings and make them angry at us. We can lose friends if we do not use the rules of netiquette. If we do use them everyone will not be angry at us and will be kind. What you do to others they will do to you. So be nice.
